Step from bougainvillaea-framed arches towards the white sands of Pwani Mchangani at LUX* Marijani, where Zanzibar’s coastal character shapes every stay. Set on the island’s northeast coast, this five-star beachfront boutique resort combines Arabic-inspired architecture with Swahili design details, surrounded by tropical gardens. The rooms and suites continue this island style with white interiors, wood and brass accents, and terraces or balconies overlooking the gardens or beach. Beyond your terrace, dining brings fresh opportunities to enjoy the setting. The Beach, the resort’s main restaurant beside the beach and pool, offers all-day dining, while Samaa serves Levantine cuisine in an open-air beachfront setting. Pause for coffee at Café LUX*, choose a freshly churned treat at ICI, or sample cocktails inspired by the Spice Island at The Bar. Between meals, spend time in the central swimming pool or make wellbeing part of your holiday at LUX* ME Spa, with massages, facials and couples’ treatments. A poolside fitness centre and sandbank yoga offer further ways to unwind or stay active. Younger guests have their own holiday discoveries through PLAY, with an outdoor play area, creative arts and crafts, and children’s activities. A dedicated children’s area within the main pool adds to the family appeal, while babysitting services are also available.
